February 2015 – The Beaufort Street Network

Sundown Success on Beaufort St

Thank you to all the people who made our first 2015 Sundowner a very special night. To see such generosity and comunity spirit, we really were blown away by it. Thanks go to 2nd Avenue Plaza, Pierrots Hair Studios, 2nd Ave SIGA, Seven Willow Designs, Red Cray on Beaufort, New Place Japanese Kitchen, Beaufort Realty, Inglewood Hotel for food, drinks and great organisation.

Working together is the best way we can create a successful place. Plus there are so many great people on Beaufort Street and our Sundowners are the best way to meet them all in one place.

We can’t wait to see everyone at our next event!

What Makes You Happy?

What makes you happy? Family … friends … holidays … great food … coffee  …?

People who volunteer in their local communities are significantly happier than those who don’t, according to a study from the United States. Read the article <here>.

Helping others can help yourself.

The Beaufort Street Network is positive and proactive group of businesses and residents volunteering their time to create a Better Beaufort Street. Great places don’t just happen. They need to be created by people for people. It takes some hard work.

But there are huge benefits for local businesses, residents and visitors. We get an amazing place where we can relax, shop, meet friends, live, work and play. A place to feel proud of.

Hundreds of people volunteer their time to help with the Beaufort Street Festival. In fact, it would be almost impossible to deliver the Festival without the amazing efforts of our volunteers! Thank you!!
