July 2015 – The Beaufort Street Network

10 days to go for Better Beaufort $1,000 grant competition

The Beaufort Street Network has launched the second round of its Better Beaufort $1,000 grant competition. There’s only 10 days left so get your project ideas in ASAP.

The challenge offers a chance for local residents and businesses to get involved with creating a better Beaufort Street. The Network can fund a range of different ideas, with the main objectives of the project to make the area more vibrant, interesting and diverse.

“We are very proud to be giving back to our community through the $1,000 grant competition” says Network El Supremo, Pam Herron.

The first round of funding helped to finance the amazing mural by local artists in the Fresh Provisions car park in Mount Lawley. Our recent community survey found that street art was the most popular thing we have helped with over the last 12 months. But we’d love to see some new ideas and it is definitely not limited to art.

We want to get more locals involved. There are so many great ideas out there and we want to help them happen.
