Making a footprint

We really love it that the local and wider community support local business first and foremost. It’s so important, integral to the area’s vibrancy and allows the businesses to thrive and have the means to put back into their local area. So please keep making your footprint on Beaufort Street by using and shopping with your local businesses.

We call on businesses often for their support – and are greatly appreciative of it. A lot of our local businesses are generous with contributions in time and/or financial contributions to the strip. Some with the Beaufort Street Network initiatives, some with our festival initiatives and a lot supporting both.

A nod to just some of these champions! There are a LOT more who consistently put back in and we’ll introduce some more to you next newsletter.

Business backbone

Without business member support, the Beaufort Street Network just wouldn’t be able to exist. Business membership is just $95 per annum and you can join up online or alternatively through registering to be a part of The Beaufort Street Festival.

Why join? It’s a way of supporting the community that supports your business. Our Network is totally not for profit – everything gets rolled back into the community and helps towards our operating costs. Our committee is made up of 12 hard working volunteers – and yes, we work hard! It’s a big street and there’s lots to do!

This website is taking close to a whopping 6000 visits a month with people looking at what’s on, who’s on Beaufort. As we’re raising awareness the interest is growing and growing! There is a lot of interest in what’s on and what’s happening on the strip. As a member we also give you a listing to profile your business.

Festival registration is voluntary and another way to join the Network. This registration fee directly supports the festival programmes AND gives you an automatic year’s membership to the Beaufort Street Network.

There’s a Method to it!

Hats off to those businesses who put back in! There is a method to being a small business in a small community and this is a great example!

Our friends at Method Clothing are offering a MASSIVE 15% discount to all Beaufort Street Network members for the month of October. Just pop in and quote your membership number. The discount is available on all sale items as well. Wow! So generous!

Dale Emery at Method has been a solid supporter of the Beaufort Street Network and one of our original and long serving committee executives who ALSO sits on the Beaufort Street Festival Steering Committee. As secretary Dale takes the minutes (or hours!) of our meetings and tirelessly works on all our community and business initiatives.

Dale is also a great art enthusiast and she regularly sponsors local artists through the store to paint murals on her side wall. There is a new one in work at the moment – keep your eye on it!

Dale lives locally and has owned Method for 10 years. Specialising in womens and mens fashion and accessories. Thankyou for supporting a business that supports their local community in more ways than one!
