We want our burgers to taste good and do you good. We challenge the idea of burgers being low in nutritional value and high in fat. That’s why we make burgers the old-fashioned way, not the mass-produced, fast-food way. Ours are proper meals, not rubbery snacks that dissolve in seconds.
We do this by using only the highest quality, freshest ingredients, many of which are sourced locally from small, family producers. Every day, before we open the doors, we turn up the music and spend several hours preparing our ingredients (cutting buns, slicing tomatoes, mashing avocados…) that have been delivered fresh from the market.
We make every burger fresh to order on the flame grill in front of you so there’s no hidden secrets. The grill gives our food its unique flavour and it’s healthier than using a hot plate.
Relax at the bar.
Opened in November 2001, this convivial vinous establishment has quickly become part of the fabric of Beaufort Street. Behind the elegant 1930’s façade a long, polished she-oak bar greets you with an enticing & very personal selection of wines, spirits and beers.
The wine list features over 500 references, strongly representing the wines of France, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, Argentina, USA, South Africa and beyond. A dozen whites and as many reds are poured by the glass – Riedel – as well as Sherries and digestives. A cocktail list includes the classics as well as some signature concoctions.
Beautifully cooked seasonal food
The cuisine of Chef Russell Blaikie is seasonally based, contemporary with provincial French influences. The daily specials offer what produce is in its prime on any given day.
Eat a few snacks at the bar or make a meal of it in the bistro, set over two levels with crisp white tablecloths and smart service to match. The mezzanine level can be converted into a private dining room for special events and if you really want something out of the ordinary, ask a waiter to take you upstairs to the Champagne Lounge.

Review by Tom Zaunmayr
“Located in the heart of Mount Lawleys cultured nightlife, Five Bar upholds Beaufort streets reputation as a funky, niche destination for revelers seeking a classy alternative to the regular nightlife hot spots.
Five Bar’s presence is hidden from the world behind a plain old window & wooden frame storefront – you could be mistaken into thinking this is some sort of antique café/bookstore. Step inside & the generic face turns into an old-world set up of chiseled stone, wood and Victorian style latticework, resembling the bars on old brick roads of historic European cities. The writing on the walls do wonders to promote conversation, with intriguing facts & stories about what’s on offer at Five Bar. If you’re lucky you can even score a beanbag on the raised internal verandah.”

Owners of Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar’s Mount Lawley store, Joe and Michelle Rechichi are both huge foodies. After their honeymoon to the states they decided they wanted to have their own business in an industry they loved and doing what they enjoyed most (eating & making pizzas).
When Joe and Michelle tasted their first Crust Pizza they knew they had found their perfect match. Their pizza ovens have been cranking every day since they opened their Crust Mount Lawley doors and the support of a global franchise has helped them focus their time on delivering quality gourmet pizzas to the local area.
